ESSEX COUNTY EXECUTIVE DIVINCENZO INVITES NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TO APPLY FOR ARTS AND HISTORY GRANTS Application Information Session is May 28th; Application Deadline is August 15th

Essex County, NJ – Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. invites all non-profit organizations that offer cultural arts programming to apply for Essex County Arts and Essex County History grants that can assist with general operating expenses or special projects. Information sessions about the application process will be held on Wednesday, May 28th; the application deadline is Friday, August 15th.

“Essex County has a vibrant, diverse arts community that contributes greatly to our quality of life and local economy. We offer grants that can help eligible non-profit organizations and government units continue providing high-quality cultural programs. I encourage all arts and history organizations to attend the information session so they can learn about our application process,” DiVincenzo said.

The Essex County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs receives generous support from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State and the New Jersey Historical Commission which is regranted to support local arts and history organizations. Non-profit organizations within Essex County that offer cultural and/or historical programming are encouraged to learn more about this grant opportunity. Funding periods run from January to December each year. Additional information about the grant program and a link to the application is at www.essexcountyparks.org/cultural/grants. Applications will be made available on June 1st and the deadline to apply is Friday, August 15th.
