Welcome to Essex County! We are hard at work to better serve our residents. Our Hall of Records Complex is undergoing a $25 million, comprehensive facelift that will modernize our facilities, enhance security and provide comfortable and accessible amenities for our jurors and visitors.

• A new multi-purpose facility at Newark Tech, across the street, opened in September 2007 and, for the first time, students have a gymnasium to call ‘home’.
• Keep your eyes open for the upgraded Complex promenade, 1,000-car parking deck, and the new park plaza that will create an open-space oasis in our densely developed University Heights neighborhood.
• On the inside—our jurors will have a more pleasant experience when they visit the Veterans Courthouse after the jury waiting room, moved to the first floor, and the new entrance and lobby are completed.

There is always a lot happening. Working together we will continue Putting Essex County First!
