DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT,
TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT
The Department of Economic Development, Training and Employment is comprised of the Division of Training and Employment, Workforce Investment Board, and the Division of Housing and Community Development.
The Division of Training and Employment, Workforce Investment Board and the One-Stop System is located at 50 South Clinton Street in East Orange. These programs provide essential case management services, education and training opportunities, workforce planning and development, and job placement assistance.
Division of Training and Employment provides workforce development opportunities to TANF and GA/ABAWD clients in addition to case management services.
Workforce Investment Board/One-Stop System provides employment training development planning and offers training opportunities to dislocated workers and out of school youth.
The Division of Housing and Community Development is located in the historic Kip’s Castle Park in Verona.
Division of Housing and Community Development offers housing development assistance and community development block grant opportunities to qualified organizations in various towns and municipalities, First Time Homebuyer Program, and Home Improvement Program (HIP).
